Community Engagement
Community Connectors are people who are driven to connect people to other people, information and opportunities. They are Dzali. Compadres. Comadres. People like you! Everyone is welcome to be a Community Connector and participate in Place Matters. There are many ways to be involved, tailored to fit anyone’s schedule, from signing-up for receiving email updates to writing and delivering testimonies at public meetings. In response to requests for assistance with screening the documentary Unnatural Causes…is inequality making us sick?, Place Matters has established a lending library. Unnatural Causes is a documentary produced by California Newsreel that explores how health is shaped by the environments in which we are born, live and work.
