Happy Heart
The Happy Heart campaign is a countywide effort to promote heart health. Heart disease, high blood pressure, and stroke are all serious health risks, but the good news is that many of these conditions can be prevented by making healthy food choices. Most of the extra salt we consume comes from processed, packaged, and restaurant foods. Eating more fresh, whole foods- like fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, and foods rich in calcium, potassium, and magnesium- is a simple but powerful way to support your heart.
