School Immunization Requirements

California law requires all students attending public or private school be vaccinated against certain infectious diseases to keep themselves and their classmates safe. The school must have a copy of each student's vaccination record on file. Which vaccines are required varies by the student's age and grade; information can be found below. The best place to get vaccinated is at your doctor's office, but for people without a doctor or insurance, free vaccination clinics are available in Alameda County. State law says, "No Shots, No Records, No School!"
