Mortality Report

Prepared by the Alameda County Public Health Department’s Community Assessment, Planning, and Evaluation (CAPE) unit, this report describes changes in mortality from 2018-2019 to 2020-2021, the first two years of the COVID-19 pandemic. The report describes growing disparities in life expectancy, and overall mortality by race, ethnicity, and neighborhood poverty. An FAQ document and presentation slides have been created to accompany this report.
