Key Updates

Become a Zika Care Connect Provider

Zika Care Connect is a network of healthcare specialists identified to help families affected by Zika. Specialists included in the network are able to provide clinical services for Zika and stay informed of CDC clinical guidance for managing and caring for patients with Zika.

  • The CDC has lifted their recommendation to avoid travel to Miami-Dade County, Florida (as of 6/2/17) and Brownsville, Texas (as of 8/29/17). However, testing may still be indicated for some patients whose exposure occurred prior to or even after these travel recommendations were lifted. See the Testing and Diagnosis sections of the CDC’s Advice for people living in or traveling to South Florida and Brownsville, Texas.
  • There is an ongoing recommendation that pregnant women postpone travel to areas with local mosquito-borne Zika transmission and outbreaks, including parts of Mexico, Latin America, South America, and the Caribbean; and several Southeast Asian countries where Zika virus is endemic.
